LADOT Reversible
Lane Control Signal

The reversible Lane Control Signal was originally designed for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and has several advanced features that allows for a lower cost of installation and on-going maintenance cost when compared to the fiber optic halogen signals supplied by competitors for this application. The signal has a Master/Slave redundant power supply architecture. If any of the power supplies assigned to a given LED symbol fail the master supply will take over for the failed unit and the signal will continue to fully function. The reliability of this USA Signal product design allows for an industry long 6 year warranty to be offered and also increases safety where the product is installed.

    FEATURES & BENEFITS :
  • LED based product, which offers considerable energy power savings over fiber optic halogen signals
  • 4 LED symbols: Red X, Down Green Arrow, Yellow “Flashing” Merge Right Arrow, White Merge Left Arrow with the word “ONLY”
  • Easily “Retrofitted” into existing installation where fiber optic halogen signals have failed
  • Interfaces to any industry controller
  • Can reduce cost 30 to 40% in “new installation” initial cost when compared to fiber optic halogen signal normal installations
  • The electronics are housed in an enclosure that is convection cooled, which keeps the electronics operating below specification requirements of 74 deg. Celsius
  • Dimming Control for Night Operation
  • Separate convection cooled watertight electronic cabinet to house all electronics
  • Electronics cabinet can be easily replaced without removing complete sign enclosure from intersection pole or bridge railing
  • Redundant Auto-Sensing Auto-Switching AC/DC Power Supply (80VAC – 135VAC & 35VDC – 60VDC )
  • Failure of a single LED results in loss of light from that LED only
  • 10KA @ 10KV Transient Voltage Protection Exceeds ITE VTSCH-STD Part 2 Specification and is non-degrading unlike most competitors circuits
  • Self-Kill: Exceeds ITE VTSCH-STD Part 2 specification for “Failed State Impedance” Option
  • Night Dimming: Meets ITE VTSCH-STD Part 2 specification for Dimming Option
  • Operating product warranty of 6 years
